Elisabeth St.B. McCarthy Ms. McCarthy received her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Fordham University and graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1984 where she was an Editor of The Brooklyn Law Review. A trusts and estates practitioner with specialized expertise in not-for-profit law and related tax matters, Ms. McCarthy has successfully handled numerous estate and gift tax audits, achieving significant tax savings for individual clients, and has also secured IRS approval of various applications on behalf of numerous public and private charitable organizations, developed a program for charities to monitor and collect bequests and deferred gifts, and trained charitable organization development staff.
