Finance and Securities Law
The professional experience of our firm's business and finance lawyers includes mergers and acquisitions and related financings; private placements of debt and equity securities; transactional advice to United States financial institutions.
Tax
We advise clients on the effects of investment activities, business acquisitions and divestitures, real estate and other financing transactions and issues related to employment compensation arrangements. Areas of particular experience include the United States tax implications to foreign investors of acquiring, starting, owning and operating properties and businesses in the United States, tax and estate planning associated with the negotiation of international employment contracts and equity-based benefit programs and state and local tax matters and litigation. We also represent individuals with respect to income, estate and gift tax issues.
International
Our firm represents investors and businesses based outside the United States in their business activities both within the United States and around the world and United States companies in their international transactions.
